TV AZTECA Interview

The TV AZTECA interviewed me in my studio. It was exciting to share what it means to me to be Mexican. We talked about the symbolism I use in my work, about the rituals of the Nahuatl and Totonaka people and the traditions that are still very much alive in my home town. I was able to talk about the social work I had done with young people when I was a civic counselor for the culture in Puebla and about the importance of culture in Mexico.

A tribute to water

The state of Puebla and the Barrio del Artista organized an exhibition on the theme of water at the occasion of the International Day of Water on March 22nd. I had the pleasure to participate with a painting dedicated to Tlaloc, the living force that embodies Water in the Nahuatl world view.

For a good cause - Exhibition "Corazoles" - "Heart & Sun"

The association Voluntariado Mexicano Alemán jointly with the company GDF Suez, Maxigaz created the exhibition Corazoles. Sixty Mexican artists were invited to decorate a heart-shaped sculpture for a charitable cause. I was honored to be part of them; my work La Sanacion was sold at auction at a good price. All the funds raised at this unique event were offered to Casa Del Sol, a house that takes care of homeless kids.
